A Testimony Close to Home – Fasting 21-Days
A friend of mine has gone on a 21-day fast and I think that that is such a wonderful thing because it shows discipline, commitment and strength of inner hope.
I admire her courage, her willingness, her desire and her steadfastness in this undertaking. What encourages me is the fact that I know she has a pure heart before God and that she wants to honor Him in everything.
That in itself is a wonderful and living testimony to God’s transforming power in people’s life. When that realization hits home in my heart and mind and in that of those around her, then that truth and that reality becomes even more real in our lives. At that moment we can all discover the beauty of what it means to live for God and surrender yourself wholly to Him. But somehow it takes the example and testimony of one obedient one to open your eyes to that reality.
