It is quite exciting for me and my partner in business to see that the number of online purchases on our Albanian online bookstore (ShtepiaeLibrit.com – libra shqip) is increasing in frequency. It is not yet where we can really start to worry about the load of work, however, it is very encouraging and we are glad that it is happening.
Moreover, working with books has encouraged me to start reading several titles like the “Tregime të motshme shqiptare, by Mitrush Kuteli†which I am enjoying very much at the moment.
I read so much in English that often I neglect the fact that I have to try and read in Albanian books as well. I do a lot of reading of Albanian newspapers, documents, etc, but not that many books.
Anyway, just wanted to share that with you to tell you how things are going.

1hey elvis - that awesome that your bookstore is growing. consider the fact that most on-line businesses never take off the ground. Do you do any advertising in albania?

2Hey Oscar, thanks for your comment. For me and my business partner this is the second website/business that we try to get going and the first one did not really take off, however, the fact is that we learned a lot from our first experience and now know that it takes a lot of dedication and persistence to get it going and working properly. But even more for this project we feel even more strongly as it is in tandem with our goals and desires to work towards promoting the Albanian language, culture, identity and future of the country itself.

3I forgot to tell you that we are still working on getting the whole site translated so that it is easier for Albanians to use. Hopefully we should have everything ready in this regard before the last month of this year.
