I usually follow the Albanian news from abroad, at least two or three different channels, and every time I get surprised of the way news are presented. I like the way you have put the list of characteristics. But what is even more sad, i believe is, that people are not aware of those factors when presenting the news. I have noticed when listening to interviews the main characters gets interrupted and gets completely other question making it difficult to grasp any information that might have been more relevant than the upcoming question, and finally what scares me most is the way some people think or reason in the political level. It is like a comic book: http://dilbert.com/strips/comic/2009-10-12/

Though I think that the reading of newspaper titles in the morning is a good time-saver for myself, I couldn't help but agree with you on the fact that Albanian papers and media do much reporting and very little in-depth journalism.

People and journalist cannot think differently unless they are made to or learn to do that. But as long as the current media continues to server the political and financial interest of their owners, rather than those of the people, then there's not much hope of quick changes. At the same time we have to accept the fact that it does take time for people to change. But change can be achieved faster with the right kind of push from the public!

Great stuff to think about!

I am very annoyed by this habit of Albanian news on tv--- READING the lead articles from all the newspapers as if it is the news itself! Every morning you can flip between each news program and all they do is show you the papers with some unknown announcer pointing with a pen at what they're reading. That's NOT reporting! It's reading (selectively) and I assume they're only reading from the papers that agree with the stations political point of view- and as we know- every paper and every station is run by a specific political party.
It just BUGS me.
