Hello, I am travelling to Tirana on third of May, its my first visit, i wanted to thank you for these informative pages, they are quite helpful in understanding the city and the surroundings although i have heard only the nice things about tirana, but now i am also getting to know the other side of it, but i guess the country side like Vlora, must be more peaceful and calm than the Tirana city.

I am not Albanian – soo I am looking in from the outside. My relationship with Albania is only about 4 years total. I am confused as to why you modeled government after so many socialistic regimes. Voting for Parties vice individuals. There are problems with doing so as well, but at least you the people get to remove the offender during the next election cycle. With the small size of Albania it would be easy to keep the Ministers under control and they in turn would keep the Prime Minister from being involved with everything under the sun instead of dealing with the pressing issues of the Nation vice regional issues. Just my opinion from the outside. I hope that things do now slide backwards for your country as I enjoy my time here very much.
